Made In Heaven 2 Controversy: Alankrita Shrivastava Claims She Met Yashica Dutt After Filming Radhika Apte’s Episode Back in 2021- VIEW TWEET
Amid controversy surrounding the credits for fifth episode in Made In Heaven Season 2 featuring Radhika Apte, director Alankrita Shrivastava has denied Yashica Dutt's claims by saying it was shot before they met
Yashica Dutt alleged Made In Heaven season 2 makers of plagiarising her story for one of the episodes of the series featuring Radhika Apte. She had stated that she wasn't even credited for it. The episode we are talking about is "The Heart Skips a Beat' which revolves around a Dalit woman portrayed by Radhika. In one of the interviews, Anurag Kashyap called Yashica an opportunist defending the makers of the show. Yashica made some serious allegations and claimed that she had a meeting with one of the writer-directors Alankrita Shrivastava in July 2022 where she talked about this story in an interaction that lasted for about 5-hours.
Responding to these claims, Alankrita has clearly denied these allegations in the first place. She took to her Twitter handle and confirmed that the episode she is talking about was shot back in October 2021, while she met Yashica in July 2022. The entire controversy around the Amazon Prime Video’s show erupted when the author, known for her memoir "Coming Out as Dalit," asserted that due acknowledgment wasn't given to her while the show's creators issued a statement several days later, refuting these allegations.

Update:In response to my gentle demand for acknowledgement, the makers of MIH put out a hostile statement calling it ‘misleading’. Was it also misleading when Alankrita Shrivastava, the writer/director of MIH requested a meeting with me in NY on July 15, 2022 that lasted 5 hours? pic.twitter.com/cNJHbroTHX

I went to New York in July 2022.
Speaking about the controversy, Yashica reportedly spoke to Hindustan Times and said "This entire narrative has been twisted & horribly disfigured to serve the interests of savarna indie Bollywood, to make them appear progressive on screen as they continue to steal the likeness & stories of real Dalit folks, while also clamping down on them when they ask for credit."
With the new twist in the controversy, netizens are divided on taking sides and are actually confused who is speaking the truth and is factually correct.
